It’s early morning and I’m in Georgetown trying to piece together the last 10 days. I’ve feared for my life evacuating from fires and witnessed a country regain its freedom. Walking the streets of DC and experiencing the history first hand lead me to ponder my own past. Two years ago I joined Robert F Kennedy jr. in a quest for truth and to hopefully make it to Washington DC. Being here now is one of the greatest accomplishments of my life. I got to meet so many amazing people who share the same views and have made friends for a lifetime.
On Thursday I left Los Angeles because I was so shaken up and longed for my family in Charleston. I did not have any clothes since I had been evacuated a week prior. A friend directed me to The Showroom Charleston. I always knew I wanted to wear something to the Inauguration Balls that kept the MAHA ethos at the forefront, renting a dress felt inline with our green movement. It was a wonderful experience and put a smile on my face after a very stressful week. I tried on a dozen dresses and of course the last one was the winner. A stunning blue and black floral paired with my old red Prada heels to express my patriotic side. I have loved these shoes for a long time as they were Italian made but inspired by American car design. The shoes have a red rose on the toe, flames on the side and from the back you see car tail lights modeled after an old Cadillac, a symbol of American ingenuity and the open road of freedom. Team MAHA was also very honored that Miss America reached out and wanted to join our movement. Abbie Stockard is the fresh faced Alabama beauty that we need right now. Trump’s campaign has been centered around American decorum and bringing back honor while Bobby’s message has been health and the environment paired with hard work and drive. Together it is a can’t lose duo.
That message was brought home by our speakers at the MAHA Ball. First with Russell Brand referencing the subtle letter difference between MAGA and MAHA. He explained the hard G represents power while the soft H is similar to an exhale and the breath work that helped him find sobriety and eventually Christianity. I have been a fan of his for years and seeing his personal growth has been very inspiring. He is another public figure that lent his platform to Bobby to help challenge our thought patterns in the quest for truth. Jordan B. Peterson had a similar message but focused on the MAKE part of the campaigns. You can ‘make’ someone do something with force but the word also means to create and build. He also reflected on the American Dream and the pursuit of happiness through action. That MAHA has invited people on the adventure of their life and also reminded us all that we each have something special to bring to the table. I suppose that is why I get so excited to see the youth taking an active part in their future. They showed up in droves and helped us win this election. That is why Trump turned TikTok back on without a deal in place. He knew the power that held and that Chinese have no choice but to negotiate.
We will be renegotiating with the world but in the meantime restore normality. Reunite families who children were taken hostage by evil forces. Clean up our food and environment so that we can all be the best versions of ourselves and not live in fear. Right now I fear I might miss my flight as the whole east coast is shutting down with storms approaching. I’ll recap more but now I’m really hoping I can make it back to Charleston today and have a snow day with my nieces tomorrow. They are the future and everything we are fighting for, it will be dream to pause for a moment and really let all of this sink in as we make angles in the snow.
